“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.”― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

This is the second piece in My Favorite Books Collection and this one is all about Jane Austen. More specifically, Pride and Prejudice!

I still remember the first time I read that nugget of sassy dialogue. Not only did I immediately want to make myself an entire wardrobe of delicate dresses and transport myself back in time to find my own Mr. Darcy, but I loved the wit Jane Austen infused into every page. She was a single lady living in the time where women were considered worthless without a husband and yet she wrote some of the best, historic, heroin led books I’ve ever read.

I re-read Pride and Prejudice every few years and never get tired of the comical scenes, banter, sarcasm, and belief that true love will ultimately triumph in the end.

“You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.-Mr. Darcy”― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

4”x6” sculpted acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas. Mounted with a sawtooth hanger and ready to be displayed on your wall!
