from a young age, I knew I wanted to be an artist.
Growing up in a homeschooling family of 13 children, my mom encouraged creativity in every area of our lives. She had an entire room of art supplies we would spread out on the dining room table for days on end, culminating in an “art show” where our parents would buy our creations with their spare change.
Fast forward to today when a global pandemic helped me re-discover my artistic roots and love of nature. I gravitate towards texture and art that makes you want to reach out and touch it, and acrylic paint sculpting on canvas and wood has become my passion. I am drawn to this medium because I enjoy the organic process of custom mixing each batch of paint and creating each flower and leaf carefully by hand. The process of creating each piece is exhilarating, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see a design from my imagination become a piece of art which can be enjoyed for years to come.
I don’t know where this journey into creativity will end up. All I know is that I am thoroughly enjoying each and every step of the artistic adventure, and I get to do something that brings a little bit of joy and beauty into people’s lives.
